Wolli is looking for drawings! The young Zermatt black-nosed sheep wants youngsters to put their adventures with him down on paper. Wolli will be out and about in the village from 15.00 to 16.00 h every Wednesday until the end of the 2011 season and have something with him for the kids.

For the third time running, Zermatt takes first place in the Bilanz magazine rankings of the world’s best winter destinations. However, for the first time, it shares the title with St. Moritz and Aspen. The business magazine applauds Zermatt’s piste diversity, ski-hut culture, hotel worlds and restaurant scene.

New hotels: Matthiol, Sunstar, Aristella. Hotels Alex, Beau-Site, Cervo, Europe, Mirabeau, Schönegg und Testa Grigia have all been extended or rebuilt. And the view of the Matterhorn from the Blue Lounge of the new Blauherd restaurant is particularly stunning.

With seven confirmed acts for the main marquee and the vernissage, the advance ticket sales for the fourth edition of Zermatt Unplugged will start on Tuesday, 14th December 2010 at 10 a.m. on zermatt-unplugged.ch. The festival will be held on eight stages in the Matterhorn village from 12th – 16th April 2011.

The solar restaurant on the glacier paradise (Klein Matterhorn) was awarded the 2010 European Solar Prize in Berlin on 10 December. The restaurant has thus surpassed the 2010 Swiss Solar Prize that it won in September.
