This is the fifth time that the competition has been successfully organised by Vinum under the patronage of the Swiss Sommelier Association for German-speaking Switzerland (SVS). A total of 125 wine lists were recognised in the four competition categories (gourmet and stars, fine dining, home-style cooking as well as stylish/trendy restaurants) and six special prizes were presented. All wine lists that achieved a rating of at least three stars were awarded a certificate. The jury agreed that the wine list provided by Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni was one of the best in Switzerland.

An evening at the "Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni" is a very special occasion: sommelier Peter Zimmermann takes his guests on a wine journey that matches the outstanding cuisine of Chef Heinz Rufibach. Peter Zimmermann has tasted every individual wine on the menu and visited most of the wineries personally. Only Swiss wines and cider are offered for the "Heimat" menu, with options for half-glass servings or even just two select wines. About half of all the wines on offer – around 250 to 300 in total – come from Valais: Peter Zimmermann recognised that the region is as diverse in a small area as many different regions ten times larger. He finds the right Valais wine for every dish.
