Working where other people take their holidays

The new Job Internet platform of the Hotelier Association shows the job opportunities that are available in the hotel industry in Zermatt. Zermatt is attractive – not only for holiday guests, but also for employees. Many award-winning hotels and well-known village and mountain restaurants are always on the lookout for qualified workers. So why not win your professional spurs here?

Since the beginning of September 2011, the new Internet platform of the Zermatt Hotelier Association has been providing information in a clear way about the job opportunities available for skilled workers: in the kitchen, in service, at the reception, in sales or in the spa area. Job offers from other branches will be added in a later phase.

Good for the CV
Zermatt is without question the absolutely top mountain destination in Switzerland. The village generates around 2 million overnight stays a year. That is the third highest in Switzerland, immediately behind the cities of Zurich and Geneva. People who work in Zermatt can add a superlative to their CV: there is an extensive cultivation of tradition and professional know-how here. Zermatt has 126 hotels, more than 100 restaurants in the village and 50 on the slopes of the mountains who all require motivated and qualified employees. The hotels stand out through their Alpine Chic style and have regularly invested large sums into the infrastructure in recent years. Anyone who has worked in a company in Zermatt enjoys great prestige in the professional world.

Leisure time is also very attractive here: 360 kilometres of ski slopes in the winter, skiing 365 days a year (on 21 km in the summer), hiking, adrenaline sports, as well as Alpine mountain and skiing tours. The bars and dance clubs offer an international atmosphere in the evenings, where guests and locals meet for drinks, dancing and relaxation.
