Among the 800 best restaurants in Switzerland are 18 in Zermatt. GaultMillau tested them, made their selection and listed them in the 2018 GaultMillau Guide for Switzerland. Two restaurants in Zermatt received 17 points – the mark for the best quality and high consistency: The After Seven in the Backstage Hotel and the Ristorante Capri in the Mont Cervin Palace. These two are among the 70 best restaurants in Switzerland.
GaultMillau awarded a total of 255 points in Zermatt. This is one point more than in the previous year. The Omnia and the Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni in the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof each received 15 points and thus one point more each than in the previous year. The Corbeau D’Or Restaurant in the Hotel Mirabeau Alpine Residence, which was awarded 16 points in 2017, is missing from the 2018 list, since the restaurant was closed to make way for a new restaurant concept in December. New to the list, however, is the Veranda Restaurant in the Hotel Mirabeau with 15 points in brackets.
