Zermatt offers three peaks which can be visited with the mountain lifts: Rothorn (3,100 m), Gornergrat (3,089 m) and Matterhorn glacier paradies (3,883 m). The Riffelberg Express is now available to make it possible for guests to transfer easily from one mountain area to another. Until now, the gondolas have only run in winter. With this connection, peak visitors return from Matterhorn glacier paradise and avoid having to travel totally down to the valley floor (1,620 m). Instead, they can only take the Matterhorn Express to Furi (1,867 m), transfer there and take the Riffelberg Express to Riffelberg (2,582 m). From there, they can continue to Gornergrat with the Gornergrat Bahn.
