Golden India – the name comes from “Sone ki Chidiya”, which means "the golden sparrow". It was given to India because of its richness in different religions, cultures, languages and especially food. The Golden India is committed to serving authentic Indian food from the heart of the Swiss Alps, making it the first authentic Indian restaurant in Zermatt.
In addition to its existing restaurant business, it is now launching an Indian street food concept in Zermatt for its popular cuisine. Indian curries and tandoori will now be prepared in a typical street food style to eat in the restaurant or take away. Golden India will launch its new concept on 1 May and will serve its guests daily until 30 September from 1 pm to 5 pm.
