At the renowned School of Horology in Solothurn, Switzerland, Kurt Schindler graduated with the widely recognized certificate “Watchmaker-Rhabilleur”. Whilst gaining valuable experience in Switzerland, his main objectives were dedicated to acquiring further horological knowledge in all areas. Having succeeded, he then became responsible for various Horology Training Institutions, both in London and Milan. In 1967 Kurt Schindler relocated to Zermatt in Switzerland where he became Managing Director of a watch boutique. It was only 11 years later, that he founded his own specialised watch shop, the “Bijouterie Schindler”. In 1982 he moved his prestigious shop to the famous Bahnhofstrasse in Zermatt, where it is still located today. With his passionate and pragmatic approach, he has won the confidence, admiration and loyalty of numerous clients both in Switzerland and abroad.

In 2004 he retired after having sold the “Bijouterie Schindler”. Today the business is conducted in the same spirit, passion and enthusiasm. Built on Kurt Schindler’s outstanding image, the shop still bears the name “Haute Horlogerie Schindler”. A dynamic and friendly team welcomes everyone to the shop.
