On 19 July 2018, SRF will broadcast “Donnschtig-Jass” live from either Zermatt or Saas-Fee in Upper Valais, depending on who in the Bernese Oberland wins at Jass in the preceding week. Although the venue has not yet been decided, one of the guests has already been announced – Austrian singer Andreas Gabalier. The celebrated pop star, with hits such as “Hulapalu”, “Amoi seg’ ma uns wieder” and “I sing a Liad für di” will make a celebrity guest appearance as the headline act.
The municipalities of Zermatt and Saas-Fee will decide amongst themselves, in Thun or Zweisimmen on 12th July 2018, which will be the venue. The winner will be decided after five rounds of Jass. Everyone will be able to watch, enjoy the atmosphere in the audience and experience a live SRF broadcast in the making, regardless of whether it is held in the Bernese Oberland or Upper Valais. If you would like to take part you should be at the venue for 18.00. Tickets are not required.
On the same day, 19 July 2018, Zermatt will be holding its popular Street Party. All the food outlets in Obere Bahnhofstrasse will be serving food and drink outside their premises – with or without TV show. At any rate it’s sure to be a fun and entertaining event.
