Scale mountains, breathe in fresh air, explore the landscapes, climb rocks – being outdoors in nature is more important now than ever. To meet our guests’ needs, outdoor provider Zermatters has put together some new activities for the summer season. These include trail running, alpinism courses and camps for children.

Trail running experts Martin Anthamatten, Andreas Steindl and Victoria Kreuzer will take participants on a tour of discovery through Zermatt’s Alpine world. Over two days, participants will run through the stunning Alpine landscape, improve their technique and receive tips from the professionals on training and nutrition. In addition to these camps, Zermatters also offers private trail running training, either for a half day or full day.

Children between the ages of 6 and 15 can look forward to exciting camps in the summer and autumn holidays. Divided into three groups according to age, children will discover outdoor sports including climbing, mountain biking, hiking, dancing, swimming, golf, wakeboarding and dirtscooter riding. Kids Camps run from Monday to Friday.

For anyone who wants to try their first Alpine tour, Zermatters is offering a new two-day course “Introduction to rock and ice”. On the first day, participants will learn how to use crampons, a rope and ice pick, and how to work in a rope team on firn and glaciers. On the second day, participants will climb their first four-thousander – the Breithorn – and enjoy the incredible panorama of Italian, French and Swiss peaks. It’s the ultimate experience of nature!
