Two Zermatt natives have taken on the laborious task of researching and recording Zermatt’s native families in one book. The Burgerbuch specifies the number of births within each family as well as the number of generations originating from the same ancestor. The book is intended to strengthen the sense of community in Zermatt and preserve the memory of our ancestors.
