Zermatt – snowsport on 365 days a year

Zermatt means snowsport on 365 days a year. In winter the resort has 360 kilometres of well-prepared pistes. In summer, the ski scene moves to the Theodul Glacier with 21 kilometres of pistes await snowsport fans. The ski region is constantly extended in autumn. The Snowmaker, a machine that uses a vacuum procedure to produce around 1900 tonnes of snow per day in temperatures above zero and without the addition of any chemicals, is of great benefit for around two weeks in early autumn. If required, 65 per cent of Zermatt’s pistes can be covered with technical snow.
