Sun, snow and cool temperatures have created prime conditions for limitless snow sport fun on 250 kilometres of pistes in the Matterhorn glacier paradise, Rothorn, Gornergrat and Italian skiing areas.
As of Saturday, 21 December 2013, 250 kilometres of pistes on the Swiss and on the Italian side invite skiing aficionados to embark on true adventures in the snow. Two valley descents to Zermatt and the descents to Cervinia and Valtournenche are also open.
Gravity park opens officially
Freestylers and pros get their money’s worth. The Gravity park on the Theodul glacier will be officially opened as from 21 December.
The Wolli Park for beginners near Leisee lake on Sunnegga (2,288 m) is also open, including three conveyor belts. Skiing for children under 9 is free in Zermatt. Also young people up to the age of 16 ski for free every Saturday. The tobogganing run from Rotenboden to Riffelberg guarantees plenty of fun for the whole family.
