An old tradition is being revived. Years ago, families in the different “quarters” would get together at the end of the day to chat about their work and lives. This was called “z Abusizz gah”.
You can now take part in the Abusizz, too.
On the anniversary of Lucy Walker's first ascent of the Matterhorn, we discuss the topic of "Women and men in the mountains: past and present". After a short presentation, you will have the chance to chat in small groups. Brothers Heini and Beat will moderate what promises to be a lively discussion based on the questions:
- Would you rather book a male or female mountain guide? Why?
- What role models have men and women been confronted with in the past?
- What has changed?
- What still needs to change?
