Attention all families! Wolli's most exciting weekend in the whole year will take place on 09 and 10 September 2023. Get close to the Valais Blacknose Sheep, see the “Miss Zermatt” competition and celebrate Wolli's birthday.

Programme – Saturday 09 September 2023*
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? To help Wolli’s girlfriends make a good impression at the Miss Zermatt competition, they will be smartened up at 10:00 hrs on the Saturday morning in the Tradition Julen stables in the village (exact location to be confirmed when booking). You’ll see how the sheep are washed, combed and made beautiful for their big day. You can also enjoy a small snack of Valais delicacies.
There’ll also be plenty of action in the afternoon - equipped with a treasure map and tips from Wolli, you set off round Zermatt on the search for treasure. There's lots to discover on this treasure hunt; use your senses and have fun learning exciting facts about Zermatt and Wolli's home (there will a choice of two different routes).
Programme – Sunday 10 September 2023*
Sunday is the day and Wolli has probably been too excited to sleep - the traditional Shepherd’s Festival and the prize ceremony for the most beautiful Blacknose sheep in Zermatt starts at 11:00 hrs in the Matterhorn Arena, Zen Stecken. The detailed programme can be found here. Families can enjoy a typical Shepherd’s Lunch (raclette or bratwurst). The highlight, however, is the sweet, fluffy Blacknose sheep, who you can get close to and even stroke.
After the official prize ceremony, “Miss Zermatt” will have been chosen and it's now Wolli's turn - he loves celebrating his birthday with you all, as he definitely can't manage the huge birthday cake all by himself! There'll be time for photos with Wolli, too, before you head home with a small Shepherd's Festival souvenir to remind you of a wonderful day.
