The fun tobogganing experience is similar to enjoying a convivial meal in the ski hut before making the descent back into the valley – with one major difference: You swap your skis for a sledge. The tobogganing experience is primarily a sociable one which centres on the many cosy mountain chalets and restaurants around the Zermatt area and the traditional Swiss fare they serve.
Tobogganing fun Furi
A great way to round off a sunny day on the slopes – with a special trip at 6.30 pm taking you from Zermatt to Furi. The old mountain traditions are alive and well in this sleepy hamlet. Take your pick from the many restaurants and enjoy a fondue, a Valais platter or other traditional Swiss dish. Don’t hesitate – reserve a table in a mountain restaurant of your choice straight away. Some of them even loan toboggans out to their guests. Otherwise you can hire them from one of the sport shops in Zermatt.
Then it's off on a high-speed toboggan ride back down to Zermatt. Great fun for young and old alike.
6.30 p.m. at the Matterhorn glacier paradise valley station
Headlamp or torch recommended.
You can hire toboggans from the sports shops in Zermatt.
