Travel by e-bike with the support of e-Alps.com on the famous Haute Route Chamonix-Zermatt. It’s a route full of stunning landscapes, Alpine trails and picturesque accommodation.
Day 1: Single track trails
Warm up on an easy single track trail with beautiful views of Emosson reservoir. You then climb up to “Col du Tour de France” before heading down to Martigny on hiking trails.
35 km, D+ 1,550 m, D- 2,000 m
Day 2: Welcome to Verbier
After riding along a beautiful single track trail and a climb, you come to Verbier, the e-bike Mecca, and a forest descent. You head up to the top by cable car and then have a choice of two trails that both lead to a Panorama Trail.
40 km, D+ 1,500 m, D- 2,650 m
Day 3: Amazing ridge descent
Today features a climb that challenges first the legs and then the arms, as you have to push your e-bike for the second section. The hard work is rewarded by a beautiful ridge descent. You spend the night in an old renovated barn on the Mandelon pasture.
35 km, D+ 1,400 m, D- 1,900 m
Day 4: Historic hotel with charm
Along beautiful “balcony” trails, single track trails and forest trails, the route heads to the village of La Sage with stunning views of “Dent Blanche”, a 4,357-metre peak. Time to settle down with a brandy and relax one of the sofas in the historic hotel, built in 1890.
37 km, D+ 2,000 m, D- 1,700 m
Day 5: 2,900 m pass
You need a substantial breakfast today. The day starts on a pass at 2,900 m. The climb is a real challenge, but totally do-able on an e-bike. And the descent and the incredible views make it all worthwhile! The second climb of the day takes you to a real gem in the Swiss Alps – a hotel on a plateau with incredible panoramic views.
30 km, D+ 2,200 m, D- 1,500 m
Day 6: Wellness evening at 2,000 m
The sixth day of the programme features fun single track trails. The day ends in a mountain hut at 2,000 metres where a jacuzzi will be waiting for you.
45 km, D+ 1,900 m, D- 2,700 m
Day 7: Arrival in Zermatt
The last day starts with a beautiful trail with panoramic views of the Matter Valley peaks and you soon reach the Gornergrat, at 3,000 m. It’s the starting point for one last magical descent with views of the Matterhorn. You finish your adventure in a Zermatt hotel with a spa, reviewing the magical moments of your journey.

E-bike and equipment:
The ideal e-bike for your journey in the Alps has at least 140 mm of travel front and rear and disc brakes. As you’ll be cycling up and down a lot in the mountains, make sure that your tyres and shoes are suitable for this and have adequate grip. You should also ensure that you service your e-bike before the journey to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Don’t forget that you will need two batteries for each stage. The equipment list will help you prepare what to pack so you don't forget anything! The route is of medium difficulty and you need a reasonable level of fitness.
