Exclusive this winter: the Home of Winter Igloo and Viewpoint.
A new attraction has just been added to the "❄Home of Winter❄". In cooperation with Iglu-Dorf GmbH, the Home of Winter Igloo was built in December below Rotenboden.
Alongside the well-known overnight igloos and the snow bar, a new igloo has been added this winter that is open to all visitors. The highlight: the cosy seating lounge also features a large window – the perfect photo point with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn.

The Home of Winter Igloo and the Igloo Village Zermatt can be reached with the Gornergrat railway and then on foot (approx. 15 minutes walk) from the "Rotenboden" station.
Skiers can reach the Home of Winter Igloo via the blue igloo piste (No. 45). The igloo village is located directly next to the piste.
The igloo is open daily from 22 December 2021 to 18 April 2022 and is accessible to all during the opening hours of the Igloo Bar (11:00 - 16:00).
The igloo can be visited free of charge and is open to all. No reservation is necessary.
The public Home of Winter Igloo with Viewpoint is unique in the winter season 2021/22. But don't worry: an igloo experience will also be possible in the future - with an overnight stay in the Igloo Village Zermatt.
Right next to the Home of Winter Igloo you will find the Igloo Bar (open daily from 11:00 - 16:00), where you can try a delicious Swiss cheese fondue or the homemade igloo mulled wine. The Igloo Bar also has toilets for guests.
