Zermatt is a Culinary Eldorado


The village of Zermatt offers a total of 254 points in 19 restaurants. This is in the latest edition of the Gault Millau 2017 gastronomic guide. If this is not a reason to undertake a culinary discovery tour in Zermatt once again.

The shooting star among the chefs is Ivo Adam from the After Seven restaurant (new 17) in the Hotel Backstage. He was awarded one more point and is now ex aequo with the Ristorante Le Capri (17). In the Corbeau d’Or in the Hotel Mirabeau, chef Alain Kuster has for years been creating creative cuisine and superior consistency at the same time. Then there are the fourteen-point restaurants in the village and on the mountains which make up the colourful mix of Zermatt: From the soaring heights of the mountain restaurants to the exotics, which present the authentic cuisine of distant lands. The China Garden is once again named in the Gault Millau as “one of the best Chinese restaurants in Switzerland.” And do not forget all of the tradition-rich restaurants, which serve local, classic and international dishes in the best way.
