Both bike hotels and bike holiday apartments are geared toward the needs of mountain bikers and include useful facilities and equipment, including the following:
- Lockable storage room for bikes
- Cleaning area with water supply
- Brochures and information to help you plan mountain bike tours
- Hire and repair service for bikes, either in the hotel or through the bike shop
- Information about guided mountain bike tours (Bike Guiding)
- Laundry service (or washing machines) for biking gear
Bike hotels also offer the following:
- at least one facility that helps guests to relax (swimming pool, outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, massage etc.)
All bike hotels fulfil the criteria for a ‘Bike hotel’ set out by "Hotellerie Suisse", the national hospitality association.
