Your perfect family day …

Little explorers

In just 20 minutes, the Sunnegga funicular and a gondola take you up to Blauherd (2,571 m). Children under 9 years old travel for free with the Wolli Card. There is plenty of space for pushchairs, too.

There's a really good chance of meeting Wolli’s friends here, the fluffy Blacknose sheep.

1

A wide path leads from Blauherd to the Stellisee (2,537 m). We can highly recommend a walk around the lake; remember to take some photos! Stellisee is the most famous lake in Zermatt, known for its stunning, mirror-like reflections of the Matterhorn.

2

The hike takes about 1.5 hours, then it’s back on the gondola to Sunnegga (2,288 m), Zermatt’s "sunny corner". You might even spot a marmot or two along the way?

3

Time for lunch. If you've not brought lunch in your rucksack, try the Buffet Bar Sunnegga, offering regional and Italian specialities that will give you all the energy you need for an afternoon in Wolli’s Adventure Park at Sunnegga.

4

This bathers’ paradise in Zermatt is perfect for relaxing, with a children's playground and barbecue areas. Children can cross the lake using the raft or enjoy sliding, climbing and swinging in the playground while the adults soak in the incredible views of the Matterhorn.

5

The Leisee shuttle and the Sunnegga funicular will then take you back to Zermatt.

6

A delicious evening meal in one of the many family-friendly restaurants in the village is the perfect way to round off a family day full of adventure.
