In the morning, on your way to the Matterhorn glacier paradise valley station, you might meet the Blackneck goats heading to their meadows. That will be the only bit of calm in this perfect family day. It’s now time for action!

The day starts with a spectacular downhill for thrill-seekers: you’ll travel up to Schwarzsee on the Matterhorn Express and then hurtle downhill on a dirtscooter (downhill scooter) to the foot of the north face of the Matterhorn in the valley.

En route and in the village, there are a wide range of restaurants where you can stop for a hearty snack.
