Trockener Steg-Furi Bike Tour (Nr. 4)

This fantastic Alpine trail starts at almost 3,000 metres above sea level. You need to be an experienced mountain biker to do this one.

  • Type Mountainbiking
  • Difficulty S4 hard
  • Duration 0,30 h
  • Distance 7,7 km
  • Ascent 17 m
  • Descent 1066 m
  • Lowest point 1867 m
  • Highest point 2939 m

Due to the altitude, this trail can only be ridden in the late summer season (depending on when the snow melts). The first section of Trockener Steg towards Lichenbretter heads along a stony, slow tech hiking trail. The challenge is to find a path through the rocky terrain. The section of the trail to Furgg station is really wild and you hardly ever see any hikers.

After Furgg station, the trail heads down to Furi. This section is less technical than the previous one, although it is steep and loose in places. Just before Furi, the bike trail then flattens out again. Before you reach Furi, you can choose whether to continue on to Zermatt on the paved road or take a detour at Restaurant Alm along the Moos Trail.
