"The possibilities resulting from digital, mobile and social media are used best by the Zermatt ski region," writes Atos in its press release.
According to Atos, a growing number of Alpine ski resorts recognise the potential of digital transformation and increasingly orient their online and offline offerings to the customer experience. However, the level of digitization throughout the ski area varies greatly. Atos selected 14 ski regions and compared their digital transformations.
Atos mentions that the examined ski regions have recognised that they had to create mobile offerings for their customers in order to offer added value. As the winner, Zermatt was convincing "with an excellent offering in all digital channels." Besides the standard offering programme with piste maps, weather information and ticket shops, they were particularly pleased with the schedules (first and last trips), the availability of free WLAN and the separate "Skiguide App".
