The new cable car from Zermatt to Furi will start operating in autumn 2023. The state-of-the-art cabins offer space for up to 100 people and feature a contemporary design with generous glass fronts promising a perfect view of the Matterhorn. Two special highlights await on the ride over the end of the Zermatt village. The first pylon immediately after the valley station is constructed in the shape of a magnifying glass. Depending on the viewing angle, the cabins will pass through the magnifying glass construction with the Matterhorn in focus, creating a fascinating image. In another new feature, guests will also have the option to take the Rooftop Ride. As the name suggests, this provides the opportunity to take in the view from the roof of the cabin and enjoy the fresh breeze.
