From 1 July 2023, the Matterhorn Glacier Ride II will go into operation connecting the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise mountain station with the Testa Grigia valley station. This links the entire stretch between Zermatt and Cervinia by cable car with a new travel route that opens up numerous options. The border crossing at 3,480 m a.s.l. is unique, as is the cable car ride around the Matterhorn. The Matterhorn is a familiar sight when you enter Zermatt and it looks different from the Italian side – but no less imposing. There are various points of interest along the journey around the different stations, such as the viewing platform on the highest mountain station in Europe, the highest glacier palace in the world or the new SnowXperience Plateau Rosa adventure world right next to the border between Switzerland and Italy.

Enjoy italianità combined with Swiss hospitality in one day and marvel at the breath-taking glacier and mountain world on the trip – when the border crossing opens this summer.
