Following on from "The Matterhorn Story" in 2015 and "Romeo und Julia am Gornergrat" in 2017, this summer saw the third original production from author and director Livia Anne Richard on the Zermatt Open Air Theatre stage. Audiences loved the emotional play, "MATTERHORN: NO LADIES PLEASE!", performed on the Riffelberg above Zermatt, depicting the lives of women in the 19th century.

A total of 29 performances have taken place since 11 July 2019, with only one being cancelled due to poor weather. More than 12,500 people have seen the amazing play.

There may have been a few spaces left in the audience but the event organiser has been thrilled with the positive reactions. It has already been decided that there will be another play in 2021.
