The travel website, TripAdvisor, has handed out the 2018 Travellers’ Choice Awards for Hotels. In Switzerland, 123 hotels received the prize, and 33 of these are on the way to Zermatt. The awards are based on several million reviews submitted on www.tripadvisor.ch over the last year. These awards are being given for the 16th time this year and honour 8,095 accommodations in 94 countries around the world.
TripAdvisor presents the awards in nine categories in Switzerland. In three of the categories, Zermatt hotels are standing on the podium with gold medals: The Coeur des Alpes in the "Small Hotels" and the "Hotel with the best price-performance ratio" categories, and The Omnia in the "Top Hotel" category.
