Zermatt can officially describe itself as a family destination. The Swiss Tourism Federation presented the Zermatt destination with the 2022-2024 Family Destination award. It means that the destination meets the federation's requirements and has been audited by experts on the ground. The destination carries the label with the support of the national quality assurance commission.
Destinations that have been awarded the Family Destination label are service providers that continually address the issue of quality with a particular dedication to providing service quality in terms of family friendliness.
