The children are playing, the sheep are resting and Wolli is dancing - the new music video for the Wolli Song shows what families can enjoy in Zermatt. There are so many activities, from hiking to tobogganing to skiing, all in refreshing mountain air, surrounded by nature and with stunning views of the Matterhorn.
In 2011, the Zermatt artist and musician Urs Biner, aka Dan Daniell, composed the Wolli Song. He also appears in the new music video.
Competition
Until 19 July 2019 there is a competition for families, with the prize of a perfect family weekend on 7-8 September 2019. All families need to do is send in a video of them dancing the Wolli Dance. A jury will choose the best video sent in to wolli@zermatt.ch. This tutorial shows you how to do the dance.
Perfect family weekend
The perfect family weekend includes the Coop Family Hike on Saturday 7 September 2019, overnight accommodation in Zermatt and the Shepherd’s Festival on Sunday 8 September 2019. All ages can take part in the story of Robin Hood and solve puzzles on the circular Coop Family Hike while at the traditional Shepherd’s Festival, this year’s most beautiful Valais Blacknose sheep will be crowned. As well as the lovingly pampered sheep, there is also a full festival program and plenty of entertainment to celebrate Wolli's birthday.
