09:00 hrs: Goats’ Tour 

A herd of about 30 blackneck goats passes through the Bahnhofstrasse in Zermatt each morning and evening in the summer. Be ready to take a picture of the most photographed goats in the world.

10:00 hrs: Village Tour with local brothers 

A two-hour guided tour around the place where locals were born. Learn all about the village’s hidden corners and listen to stories from yesteryear and today.

10:30 – 12:00 hrs: Alphorn Workshop with Werner Erb 

Ever wondered what it feels like to play a traditional alphorn? The Alphorn Workshop/Intensive Course is the perfect opportunity. For 90 minutes, this iconic Swiss instrument is all yours.

11:00 – 16:00 hrs: Lucy Walker Tribute by a Zermatt native 

As it was for men, the Matterhorn was also the most auspicious of peaks to climb in that era for the female mountaineers. As a tribute to Lucy Walker, the first woman on the Matterhorn, Tanja Summermatter exhibits her photographs of the Matterhorn - Z`HORE the energy of the Matterhorn that comes to rest only at night.

13:30 hrs: Themed village tour 

The village tour will be all about Lucy Walker. Don’t miss the chance to hear her story and follow in her footsteps with village guide Franz-Josef Imboden.

5:00 hrs: Summer of Folklore Music 

Once hearing an alphorn or a Schwyzerörgeli being played in the village – that is Zermatt and its Summer of Folklore. During the summer months numerous folklore groups perform on different in the village.

16 hrs: Pioneers and forgotten figures from Zermatt (DE) 

Dive into a world of forgotten pioneers and monarchs who left their mark on Zermatt. Discover sporting events that made Zermatt famous but which have long been forgotten. Learn about film locations, where great film stars once stood in front of the camera and discover ruins that are only known about by a few people

18:30 hrs: Abusizz 

An old tradition is being revived. Years ago, families in the different “quarters” would get together at the end of the day to chat about their work and lives. This was called “z Abusizz gah”. On the anniversary of Lucy Walker's first ascent of the Matterhorn, we discuss the topic of "Women and men in the mountains: past and present".
