Charity Walk - Zermatt – Schwarzsee

On Saturday, August 31, the "Spendenmarsch Zermatt- Matterhorn" association is organizing the second charity walk in the form of a walk/hike/joging/run. There will be no time measurement or ranking.

Friday, August 30 2024 on the church square from 3.30 pm to 8.00 pm:

-Supporting program on the church square of Zermatt. Musical entertainment and refreshments - raclette, barbecues and drinks.

-Registration for the charity march and distribution of starting numbers from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the church square

Saturday, August 31 2024:

- 08.30 to 10:00 a.m. Last registrations and distribution of start numbers on the church square

- 10:30 a.m. Start release on the church square. The route leads from the church square via blue/yellow marked Zermatt hiking trails to Zum See and Hermettjien to Schwarzsee.

- Finish at Schwarzsee: folk music and refreshments on the hotel terrace for a fee.

Entry fees, donations and proceeds go to the benefit of Ukraine and the children's home Bocsa/Romania.
Each participant pays an entry fee ( Fr. 50.-) and additionally a donation.

Everyone is welcome to take part: young people and adults, residents and non-residents, visitors from all over the world. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Drinks/catering:
All participants organize themselves.
On the route, drinks and snacks are available for a fee at the Zum See and Terrasse/Hotel Schwarzsee restaurants.
Water, Rivella and Coca Cola are available free of charge from Hotel/Restaurant Silvana at the "Bielti" (crossroads between the Zum See path and the Furi-Stafel road).

Clothing/sun protection/sunglasses:
Good footwear suitable for the mountains (hiking boots or sports shoes) is obligatory.

Insurance:
No liability for accidents or illness is taken by the organizer. Insurance is the responsibility of each participant.

Force majeure / bad weather: If the walk cannot take place, donations remain availablefor the association’s purpose. No refunds will be made.
