You then walk through an ice tunnel that leads you directly into the palace, some fifteen metres beneath the glacier surface. If you are bold and adventuresome, you can walk back through a glacier crevice afterwards. Subtle lighting and ethereal sounds amplify the special mood within this small wonder of the glacier world. Information on glaciology and the creation of the glacier palace and an impressive array of ice sculptures add to the special experience.
