“We are proud of the fact that we can accept this award,” said Pascal Gebert, eMarketing Manager at Zermatt Tourism. Zermatt was praised as follows in the citation accompanying the award: “Zermatt has skillfully weaved its traditions and values into its social media strategy.” The posts are multifaceted and the image message is very expressive. And what particularly made the social media team at Zermatt Tourism happy was: “The targeted use of hash tags and cross-channel links tying several platforms together in a meaningful way.”

Appeal to Members of the Zermatt Fan Community

Around 75% of Zermatt’s visitors are regular guests. Many of them are very active on social media channels. But there is still a lot of headroom available. The Zermatt-Matterhorn destination is very pleased when its guests post through Twitter and are actively involved in the Matterhorn Village platforms.
