With seven confirmed acts for the main marquee and the vernissage, the advance ticket sales for the fourth edition of Zermatt Unplugged will start on Tuesday, 14th December 2010 at 10 a.m. on zermatt-unplugged.ch. The festival will be held on eight stages in the Matterhorn village from 12th – 16th April 2011.
Legends, classics and song writing of the present day: With Roger Hodgson, formerly of Supertramp, Zermatt Unplugged welcomes the gifted composer, lyricist and performer of songs such as Breakfast in America, Give a Little Bit, The Logical Song, It's Raining Again and Dreamer. The American band OneRepublic broke all records on Myspace with Apologize. The band from the Rocky Mountains is on a world tour with its second album. Pop 'n' soul singer Seal, a triple Grammy winner, and the song writer David Gray, who is particularly popular with the Irish and the British – will provide some great moments in the main marquee.
The Vernissage showcases a mix of artists from Switzerland, Great Britain and overseas: Marc Sway, the Zurich musician with Brazilian roots, brings a velvety groove in English, Swiss dialect and Portuguese to the Vernissage. Sina is not only a representative of Upper Valais local colour, but is above all an artist who loves to appear wherever unusual musical experiments and virtuoso interpretation skills are demanded. She has been successful as a Swiss dialect singer over the last 15 years in Switzerland. Naturally 7 from New York are truly a wonder of nature, and promise an exhilarating show without any instruments at all.
