Ranking of hotels in Europe’s ski regions: Zermatt hotels come out tops

Once again, Zermatt is top of the league. The German hotel search and information site ‘trivago.de’ has rated the most popular hotels in European skiing regions and awarded Zermatt first place with 86.52 out of 100 points.


This result is based on analysis of over 82 million hotel ratings submitted by travellers on the trivago.de website.

Zermatt and Saas Fee - the only Swiss resorts in the top 15
Place two and three are held by the Austrian destinations Kaprun (86.13) and Mayrhofen (86.00). With eight Austrian ski resorts among the top 15, Austria achieved an excellent overall result in the ranking of the most popular hotels. Saas Fee, the only other Swiss destination to make into the ranking, is in sixth place (85.48). Italy, Germany and Poland also have resorts among the European top 15.
