Summer activities for children – with Wolli

Children can enjoy new adventures with Wolli until 26 August 2011: fun and games as well as visits to exciting places. The only thing left is to decide on the right summer fun activities.

Wolli, Zermatt’s young black-nose sheep, is a firm favourite with children. The larger-than-life-size figure is an icon of fun for youngsters. Seeing Wolli in Zermatt means having a good time and enjoying a stay at the foot of the Matterhorn in the company of other youngsters.

Exciting experiences everywhere
A wide range of activities is on offer: from tree to tree on a zip line, over hanging bridges and wobbly sky ladders on an adventure day. Sculptures in glacier ice to discover on an outing to the world’s highest-altitude glacier palace in the Matterhorn Glacier paradise at 3883m. Animal lovers can watch cute marmots. Sports fans can play table tennis and if it’s raining, the youngsters bake tasty treats together.
Those already here on holiday might like to get better acquainted with their new world, for example on a sightseeing tour. At Air Zermatt, where helicopters fly in and out. At the Matterhorn Museum, to learn more about the first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865. Or at Zermatt Bergbahnen on Trockener Steg, where children see the massive machinery that makes it possible to travel effortlessly up into the Alpine world in an aerial gondola.

Wolli Summer Fun, from 27.6.-26.8.2011. The Wolli Summer Fun Pass costs CHF 35 and is available at the counter of Zermatt Tourism on Bahnhofplatz.
