The Restaurant Le Capri once again holds a Michelin star. The restaurant in the Hotel Mont Cervin Palace had already been nominated as “the best Italian in Switzerland” by the GaultMillau gourmet guide.
The Michelin star now sparkles again for Zermatt in the 2012 edition of the Michelin Red Guide for Switzerland. The concept of the Restaurant Le Capri is as impressive as it is successful: in winter, when Zermatt’s regular guests are in search of culinary diversity, the tables in Zermatt’s top-rated restaurant are ready and waiting. Italians from the sea to the mountain The kitchen brigade at the Le Capri in Zermatt is made up of authentic Italian chefs who actually work on the Isle of Capri in summer. Chef de cuisine, Andrea Magliaccio‘s Restaurant L’Olivo in the Capri Palace also has one Michelin star, the only one on the island.
In winter, when the hotel on Capri is closed, Andrea Magliaccio caters for fine cuisine in Zermatt. Here he ensures that the fish is tender and moist, the pasta slightly al dente, when brought to the table. Olive oil, pasta, fish and the famous Amalfi lemons are on the menu here, together with the finest Italian wines.
The Restaurant Le Capri is open in the winter season, from the beginning of December to Easter.
