Zermatt/Cervinia: top snow conditions around the Matterhorn!
It has snowed – and it will snow again. The Matterhorn ski paradise offers magnificently prepared ski pistes with powder snow conditions that will make the hearts of all snow sport fans beat higher.
The cable cars and aerial cable cars on the Rothorn, the Gornergrat and on the Matterhorn glacier paradise bring snow sport fans to the wonderfully prepared powder snow ski slopes. The ski areas from the Rothorn, over the Gornergrat and up to the Matterhorn glacier paradise are all connected together, and almost all the pistes and facilities are already open.
Thanks to the snowfall, all the downhill runs to the valley are already open.
Zermatt – snowsport on 365 days a year Zermatt means snowsport on 365 days a year. In winter the resort has 360 kilometres of well-prepared pistes. In summer, the ski scene moves to the Theodul Glacier with 21 kilometres of pistes await snowsport fans. The ski region is constantly extended in autumn. The Snowmaker, a machine that uses a vacuum procedure to produce around 1900 tonnes of snow per day in temperatures above zero and without the addition of any chemicals, is of great benefit for around two weeks in early autumn. If required, 65 per cent of Zermatt’s pistes can be covered with technical snow.
