Wolli, the young black-nosed sheep and Zermatt children’s mascot, is the main figure in “Wolli’s Cookbook“. The new children's cookbook is a birthday story with 18 dishes drawn up by Zermatt star chef Heinz Rufibach, together with many beautiful drawings.
Wolli is the children’s favourite. It’s the black-nosed sheep’s birthday, and he receives presents from his friends in the form of fruit, vegetables and the other ingredients that are needed for cooking. A delicious leek quiche is just one example. The birthday story was written by Dan Daniell, the Zermatt restaurateur and creator of Wolli. This is the third book with and about Wolli, and was created working together with the chef Heinz Rufibach and the illustrator Martina Friedli.
The Wolli books “Wolli on the Matterhorn” and “Wolli in Winterland” have already appeared in German, French and English. The Wolli Cookbook is only available in German at the moment, but the author reports that the English version will soon follow. This entertaining and amusing cookbook is not only intended for children, but also adults who would like to read the story to children and to cook the dishes together with the mini-chefs.
