Zermatt Unplugged confirms last act

The line-up for the seventh edition of Europe's biggest acoustic festival is now complete. The British superstar James Arthur will be the main act performing on the Marquee Stage on Saturday. Advance ticket sales have begun.


The Zermatt Unplugged Festival provides its audience with a unique musical experience set against a breath-taking backdrop. Once again, international, stars, newcomers and Swiss musicians will rub shoulders at the foot of the Matterhorn, performing on small stages in an intimate atmosphere.

New Talents
What makes the festival a truly special event are not only the well-known names, but also the unknown ones, the “new talents”, the stars of tomorrow. All “New Talents” concerts are free. The seventh Zermatt Unplugged festival features twelve new talents.

Programm New Talents here

New stages
The seventh Zermatt Unplugged Festival features two new stages: the Gandegghütte and The Alex. Ronnie Scott's All Stars, house band at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, will provide musical entertainment at the Gandegghütte at a record 3,030 m above sea level. Hotel Alex has converted its tennis hall into a stage for the duration of the festival. Going under the name of “The Alex”, the stage can accommodate an audience of 1,000. The artists can reach the stage directly from their rooms and attend the boisterous after-show party with concertgoers and hotel guests.

The UK artist Alex Hepburn will inaugurate “The Alex”.

The Austrian songwriter and guitarist Peter Cornelius will play on Wednesday at the Vernissage.
