Sunnegga Session: Music at sunset over the Matterhorn

Zermatt Unplugged, the music festival with stars and newcomers, is now bringing an additional new attraction to Zermatt for the first time, with a new location at Sunnegga – on the mountain, with a view of the mountain of mountains: See and hear music at 2,288 metres above sea level, while watching the sun go down over the Matterhorn.

When the sun sinks far away in the west, over the summit of the Matterhorn and the Zmuttgrat Ridge, and goes down behind the rock formations, it’s time to warm yourself up at the Sunnegga Sessions: a new series of concerts in the sunniest corner of Zermatt, at 2,288 metres above sea level.

The astronomer from the Gornergrat observatory took out his nautical triangle and calculated: sunset at Sunnegga will be around 8.20 p.m. at the time of Zermatt Unplugged.

Sunnegga Sessions: this means a welcome by an open fire and a concert in the special singer-songwriter and mountain atmosphere. On Wednesday, 18th April, with the Basel vocal sensation Anna Aaron Aaron, on Thursday April 19th with the Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMarrow, and on Friday, 20th April, with the Starsailor front man James Walsh.

The all-in package includes the special trip with the Sunnegga Express, an aperitif, the standing buffet and the concert. Price: 149 CHF, a view of the world of the mountains and a special singer-songwriter concert atmosphere.
