New in the Forest Fun Park: 200–metre long Tyrolienne
Pure adrenaline and fun. That’s the experience you will have in the Zermatt Forest Fun Park. A new attraction is the almost 200-metre long Tyrolienne that runs from one tree to another at a height of 30 metres above the ground.
A Tyrolienne? These are cable slides, which are also known as “Roller cables”, “Cable runs“ or “Guerrilla slides”. From the summer of 2012, you will be able to sit suspended in a harness in the Tyrolienne that has now been integrated into the Forest Fun Park. The journey on the roller cable takes you over a distance of 200 metres, from one tree platform to another, at breakneck speed, 30 metres above the grounds. Pure adrenaline!
A suitable outdoor course for everyone
Anyone having a good time in the Forest Park will hear friends and family members laughing and screaming with pleasure or surprise, or perhaps even because they’re a little scared – while running, climbing, balancing and progressing through the five trails. The “Kids Trail” is suitable for the smallest from four years of age. Beginners and families with children from 8 years of age can make “discoveries” on the Green trail.
A total of 31 bridges, 8 cable runs and various climbing and balancing variants are available for adventure (studios). The more experienced can venture onto the black trail “Xtreme“, where arms and a sense of balance are fully in use. The new brown trail “Super Zip” will also be available to the more athletic types from June 2012, with 6 roller cables, the longest being 200 metres long
And perhaps someone will even find a moment for themselves while climbing, and can cast their eye over the mountain of mountains, the Matterhorn. One important note: all the trails are provide with a continuous safety line.
