Google Street View Piste Prize: vote for Zermatt as the most popular ski region!
Google Street View is awarding a Piste Prize for the most popular ski region in Switzerland. So don’t wait – vote for Zermatt and win!
The voting with competition runs until 14 February 2011. The choice includes Zermatt, the Aletsch Arena, Saas-Fee, Verbier, Gstaad, Engadin – St. Moritz, Andermatt and many others. Switzerland’s most popular ski region will ultimately be selected.
Switzerland Tourism has an attractive prize lined up for the winner of the competition: a 3-night stay in the winning ski region for 2 persons including a 3-day skipass each. That means – if Zermatt is voted the most popular ski region, the winner may soon be curving over 360 kilometres of pistes.

To this end, this winter a snowmobile will travel around photographing the pistes, first of all in the most popular ski region. Hopefully Zermatt! As yet, Google Street View has primarily showed cities and excursion destinations. But now the Swiss ski world is getting the opportunity to put itself in the frame.
