In Zermatt, 17 restaurants are proud to together hold 233 Gault Millau points and 1 Michelin star. 18 restaurants and hotels are members of the Cercle Chefs de cuisine Zermatt Association, founded in 1990 and which today unites the most creative chefs, cooks, restaurant owners and friends of fine food. The chefs in this club present their best Zermatt gourmet recipes in an almost 300-page cookery book.
The book contains 86 illustrated recipes as well as scenic views of the Matterhorn. The gourmet work is a new edition of the book first published in 2006. Many of Zermatt’s gastronomes work as closely as possible with local producers when creating their culinary delights. The book is the tenth publication in the series of the same name, which always has a different place name in the title.
