Description

This still traditional mountain restaurant Blatten has existed since the start of the tourism in Zermatt. It began as a small teahouse around 1850 managed by the family. The Taugwalder family not only have their roots in gastronomy but also in mountaineering. For example, Leander met his wife Simone on the peak of the Matterhorn at that time. We, Leander and Simone, have been running the business passionately for over 30 years and now, most recently, together with Sarah and Hans. Tradition without rigidity, roots without standing still, warmth to create an atmosphere and the passion to remain creative, have always been our aims, to enable us to contribute to your holidays’ success.
