Mammut Launches the Matterhorn Collection
The Swiss clothing brand Mammut is launching an entire collection for Alpinists and outdoor activists to mark the 150th anniversary of the first ascent of the Matterhorn. Among other things, this includes the Mammut Whymper jacket, mountain climbing shoes, rucksacks and much more.
For over 150 years, Mammut has produced equipment and clothing for Alpinists. It all began with the production of ropes. In this domain, Mammut is still one of the leading manufacturing brands in the world today. To mark the occasion of the 150 years first ascent of the Matterhorn, the Mammut Whymper jacket in a hard shell of Goretex comes on the market. It shows a classic-modern red and is available in versions for women and men.
Rucksack, Mountain Climbing Shoe and T-Shirt
But also jackets (Mammut shoulder jacket) in a soft shell, crampon-ready touring boots and a glowing red rucksack designed for high tours are part of the Matterhorn collection. A new addition is also the Mammut 9.5 Matterhorn rope, which is suitable for mountain climbing at the highest altitudes. And naturally for a jubilee, the right printed t-shirt to delight Alpinists – the Mammut first ascenders t-shirt in bio-cotton. Printed on it: the Matterhorn. The partnership between Zermatt and Mammut as part of the 150 years first ascent of the Matterhorn underscores the rich tradition and quality shared by the Mammut brand and the Zermatt-Matterhorn brand.
The collection is available in Mammut brand stores and at selected outdoor gear suppliers in Switzerland in March. In addition, it is also sold in Japan, Korea, China, the United States, Great Britain, Austria, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries.
