18 July in Zermatt: The Closing Day with Patent Ochsner
Zermatt’s gift for the future – the closing of the jubilee week for 150 Years First Ascent of the Matterhorn. Headliner on stage at this major festival on 18 July 2015: Patent Ochsner.
The motto on Saturday, 18 July 2015, is “The Past – the Present – the Future.” The final day begins with children presenting their visions and expectations on the topic of the Matterhorn and placing them into a time capsule. It continues with an exciting roundtable discussion on “The Mythos of the Matterhorn – Controversies on the Mountain.” Participatants: Livia Anne Richard (director of the Open-Air Theater: “The Matterhorn Story”), Matthias Taugwalder (descendent of the first ascenders and creator of “The Other Side of Things” exhibit in the Matterhorn Museum), Frank Senn and Gieri Venzin (Tatort Matterhorn documentary film) as well as Hermann Biner (mountain guide, author).
Then the cinema premier of the film Tatort Matterhorn (The Matterhorn, Scene of the Crime) and, at the same time, festivities with food stands, later on music by Patent Ochsner, which just released its new album “Finitolavoro” and the famous Valais singer Sina.
